As an intermittent regular at the gym I had seen the increase of people using personal trainers and was a bit intimidated at the thought of it, plus I thought what I was doing on my own was sufficient. In September of 2013 I plucked up the courage to give it a go. I signed up for an initial 6 week trial with James to see how I got on and have not looked back since.
My shape, size, strength, posture and confidence have grown with my fitness level. I think of training now as a life choice, instead of accepting the onset of middle age I’m now fighting back with the help of James. It is by no means easy, but I get a great sense of achievement when I challenge myself to push that extra bit with the encouragement and guidance that James gives. I know without the weekly session to keep me on track I would soon slip back into my comfort zone and not push myself as much.
James’ style is not over pushy with the right level of encouragement and variety to challenge me. He continues to update and vary the exercises in preparation of an up and coming event or activity I’ve signed up for.
